New York Jets trade quarterback Matt Moore to Buffalo Bills
New York (AP) The New York Giants and Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms on a two-year, $8 million contract for Matt Moore, the NFL announced Wednesday.
The deal is worth $4.3 million per season and comes as a huge coup for Buffalo as it looks to bolster its offense and add to its defensive line.
The contract includes $4 million guaranteed.
Moore, a seventh-round pick by the Giants in 2017, will serve as the Bills’ starting quarterback in 2018.
He will earn $4,375,000 per year.
Moore was the Giants’ backup quarterback from 2017-18.
He started in all 16 games as a rookie and threw for a career-high 4,036 yards, completing 76.5 percent of his passes for 1,903 yards and 13 touchdowns.
He was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017 and also helped Buffalo win the AFC East.
